Rev. John R. Cortelyou, C.M. was president of DePaul University from 1964 through 1981 — a period of extraordinary advancement. His legacy is now reflected in the program that bears his name.

The Cortelyou Heritage Society honors individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to DePaul by making a planned gift that supports goals the University will realize in the future.

How to Join

Cortelyou Heritage Society members include all donors of estate and planned gifts to DePaul University. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Joel Schaffer, Assistant Vice President of Planned Giving, at (312) 362-5319 or Andrea Wynne, director of Planned Giving, at (312) 362-8585.

Please note that some planned gifts may qualify donors for membership in the President's Club, DePaul's annual giving society, and will be included in the annual Honor Roll of Donors, unless the contributor wishes to remain anonymous.

Benefits & Recognition

Members of the Cortelyou Heritage Society receive special benefits and recognition for their generosity and support of DePaul University. Members get invitations to special events and receive the Cortelyou Quarterly newsletter.
