About Development
Donor Recognition Societies

All gifts to DePaul University are deeply appreciated and stewarded in accordance with the Donor Bill of Rights, which has been adopted by the American Association of Fundraising Counsel.

The University established donor recognition societies as a way of saying thank you to our supporters, to recognize their participation as benefactors, and to serve as an example for the philanthropy of others. Membership societies and benefits are based on the cumulative annual level of giving.

Through the vision, leadership, and generous support of DePaul donors, the University is able to continue to fulfill its Vincentian mission of providing access to educational opportunities for individuals that will allow them to become contributing members of society; give primacy to teaching and learning; and to engage society and its challenges.

Contributions are acknowledged by the University and are recognized in the Honor Roll of Donors listed in DePaul's Development Annual Report, unless they wish to remain anonymous.

Donors are also recognized for their levels of contribution through two giving societies:

The Cortelyou Heritage Society honors planned giving donors.
