The Office of Corporate Relations and Foundation Relations (CFR) is in the business of building, strengthening, and enhancing partnerships with corporations and foundations to raise funds for important University Initiatives such as the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center and the Education in Sciences Challenge.
Involvement with DePaul University allows our corporate and foundation partners to gain visibility on our campus as an employer, as a community citizen, or as an important benefactor, and to participate in joint research and experiential and community-based learning. Our partners have the opportunity to interact with our world-class faculty and outstanding students as they prepare to accept the leadership reins of tomorrow's business and civic world. CFR collaborates with many DePaul academic and administrative entities to develop and maintain strong relationships with our corporate and foundation partners.

We coordinate philanthropic partnerships with foundations and corporations that

We invite the corporate and foundation community to partner with us by becoming involved with the University’s dynamic and diverse DePaul experience as guest speakers in class or at student events, participants in case studies, advisory board members, supporters of student activities, recruiters of students or participants in other University Initiatives.
CFR connects executives from business and various industries with our faculty and students. Foundations and corporations engage with DePaul through technology, law, community service, business, education, theatre, liberal arts and sciences, and athletics. These alliances take on many forms, but all share the characteristics of being multifaceted, long-lasting, and strategic. Corporate partnerships help companies create a corporate presence at DePaul. Having visibility at DePaul increases a firm's ability to explore its human resource potential (our 23,000 students, 5,000 faculty and staff, and more than 100,000 alumni), develop relationships with members of our faculty and staff, and create other vital link with one of the major comprehensive liberal arts institutions in the world.

Supporting DePaul University Faculty and Staff
The Office of Corporate Relations and Foundation Relations serves as a liaison between DePaul University and corporations and private philanthropic foundations. Faculty and staff members seeking external funding are encouraged to initiate their search by completing our Faculty Corporate and Foundation Clearance form or by contacting us.
CFR works very closely with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research. Our staff uses its knowledge and expertise about corporations and foundations’ specific interests and giving histories to identify foundations that might welcome the opportunity to fund your particular project.
After our staff has identified prospects for you, we can provide you with advice about moving forward, and guidelines for writing a letter of inquiry or proposal. We can also assist you in editing your draft and in gathering materials required for submission. Our office additionally provides information on corporation and foundation deadlines for proposal submissions.
