![]() ![]() DePaul's Entrepreneurship Program, founded in 1982 by Dr. Harold P. Welsch, has been complemented by the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center, an entrepreneurship support organization that gives entrepreneurs practical and thoughtful guidance to build their businesses through consulting services and educational programming. This partnership has resulted in one of the most prestigious and acclaimed programs in the United States. The Chicago-based Coleman Foundation has pledged up to $2.5 million to the Center, which is located within DePaul's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, and has agreed to help the University leverage additional support through a matching campaign. Over the next four years, they will match all contributions to the Center up to $1.5 million. The mission of the Center is to help entrepreneurs succeed through exceptional assistance, valuable linkages, and innovative thinking. The program is designed for students who want to start their own business or want to work for smaller, growth-oriented organizations. Led by executive director Raman Chadha, who has been an entrepreneurial consultant, advocate and educator for more than ten years, the Center promotes entrepreneurship as a career opportunity by teaching students how to form new enterprises and demonstrates how entrepreneurial behavior can be integrated into traditional career paths.
